Extending ‘prayers & condolences’ to family, friends of officers shot in York County: Bret Michaels
Many turned to social media on Wednesday following the news out of rural York County that three police officers were killed and two more were injured while serving a warrant.
The shooting, which occurred at around 2:10 p.m., stemmed from a warrant being served on Haar Road in North Codorus Township.
Among those who used social media to express their grief was rock star Bret Michaels, who grew up in Mechanicsburg and attended Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School before pursuing his career in the entertainment industry.
Michaels, posting Wednesday night on X, said: “On behalf of all my family & Pennsylvania friends, our prayers & condolences to the family & friends of the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice today. May you rest in peace & hope those wounded in the line of duty recover quickly from a senseless act of violence.”
Michaels was just back home a couple of weeks ago, posted a picture of himself on Labor Day standing next to his father’s memorial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery before heading to Range End Golf Club in Dillsburg to play a round of golf with a few friends.
