Passengers service day celebrated at Madurai Airport

Various passenger-centric activities were carried out at Madurai Airport as part of Yatri Sewa Diwas celebrations on Wednesday.

Passengers were welcomed with traditional kumkum. A photo booth, with photographs of Madurai Airport in the background and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the foreground, was placed at the arrival hall enabling the passengers to take selfies, a statement said.

Bharatanatyam and folk dances organised on the occasion enthralled the passengers. Quiz and painting events were organised for travelling children.

Passengers eagerly took part in a sapling plantation drive at the bus bay. Besides, health check-up and eye check-up were organised in the old terminal building for taxi drivers.

Officials and employees of Airports Authority of India, airlines, CISF, and ground handling agencies donated blood. Schoolchildren who visited the airport premises were explained about the opportunities available in the aviation field.
