The four suspects in the Trubarevo case have each been issued a short-term, 48-hour, detention measure.
The people in question are: the director of the F-Group company, Lora Dameska, her father, Marjanco Dameski, who manages two companies associated with that legal entity, Nula Otpad (Zero Waste) and Le Man, the F-Group manager, and an employee. They’re charged with endangering the environment and nature with waste.
The Prosecutor’s Office is also checking how much and what type of waste there was at the facility when the fire broke out, in addition to looking into potential accountability of other persons.
Furthermore, the Interior Ministry has issued multiple orders to secure additional documentation and permits for the operations of F-Group, on which currently there is action. Until Friday, all primary school students in Trubarevo will attend classes online.
Due to intense smell and pollution, Tubarevo residents have stayed in their homes. Measuring stations have been placed that will measure air quality in Trubarevo on an hourly basis. The preliminary results are expected to arrive in one week.
Also, following the determination that there was no radiation in the air, institutions have taken action to check soil and water pollution as well. F-Group was founded in 1998.
Since 2015, it’s been in the business of processing and removal of hazardous waste. Previously, it had been in the business of waste renewal. The last, 10-year, permit was issued in 2021. From 2021 to 2023, there were inspection supervision activities during which no irregularities in operations were detected.
