From meeting to marriage, Japanese couple celebrates love in Jamaica

The usually bustling downtown Kingston became a picture-perfect backdrop yesterday as a Japanese couple turned heads during a photoshoot on King Street.

For newlyweds Yosuke Pancho Kawamoto, a record producer, and his wife Kimiko, this was no ordinary photoshoot. The couple first met in Jamaica, and earlier this year in April, they returned to tie the knot in a wedding ceremony on the island.

Now, the pair are back for their honeymoon, a perfect way to celebrate their love story.

Yosuke says he has found more than one kind of romance here. “I love how di people stay,” he shared, expressing his love and respect for Jamaican culture, with a special admiration for the country’s music.
