Tinubu hails former IGP Adamu on birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a steady hand in Nigeria’s law enforcement history.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the former police chief, who served as the nation’s 20th Inspector-General, for decades of dedicated service to the country.

President Tinubu praised Adamu’s role in maintaining law and order, noting that his tenure was marked by reforms that modernised policing standards and strengthened the Nigeria Police Force.

He further highlighted the former IGP’s impact in mentoring a generation of officers and building institutional capacity, contributions which, he said, continue to influence the management of internal security in Nigeria.

The President prayed for Adamu’s good health, renewed strength, and many more years of fulfilment, as he joins family, friends, and associates in celebrating his new age.
