Michael Chandler Leaks Key Update on Conor McGregor’s UFC White House Return Amid Presidential Race Fallout
After achieving success in the UFC, Conor McGregor went on to find success in the business world with his several brands–from alcoholic beverages like Proper No. Twelve to healthy snacks like KUDO Protein Popcorn. However, the Irishman decided to enter politics in March 2025. But McGregor’s political endeavor ended before it could begin, and while that’s not what he wanted, lightweight star Michael Chandler has made some claims about the Irishman’s potential comeback to the Octagon.
Yes, Conor McGregor has withdrawn from his campaign to become the President of Ireland. He had been talking about it for several months, but it did not materialize, as he claimed that it “was not an easy decision.” Michael Chandler claims that when one door closes, another opens, and the door for a possible comeback from the former double champion could be on the horizon, which could be what lies ahead for McGregor.

Michael Chandler claims Conor McGregor’s chances of coming back have increased
Michael Chandler, during a interview with MMA Fighting yesterday, said, “I think we’re definitely a lot closer [to witnessing McGregor’s return] today than we ever have been.” The former Bellator champion claims that he had been speaking with Conor McGregor’s business partner and some of his close confidants, who shared with him some “inside” information. According to Chandler, they have insisted that despite being over four years away from action, the time may be right for McGregor to finally make his long-awaited comeback to the Octagon.
“I’ve heard the comments from [David] Feldman, his business partner… I do have some inside sources of people close to him who have said the same exact sentiment,” Michael Chandler continued. Now, why would he assume that? After all, Conor McGregor had promised to come back before, but it never happened.

Well, the answer lies in the fact that McGregor finally has no other distractions to keep him busy. Chandler claims that’s especially true now because Conor McGregor no longer has any political ambitions to keep him away from fighting. “And obviously, withdrawing from the race of President of Ireland gets his focus a little bit more back on training,” Michael ‘Iron’ Chandler added.
Michael Chandler has been chasing that lucrative outing for a long time. So, there’s a chance that some people may not buy what he’s trying to sell about Conor McGregor. However, Dana White’s recent update on his conversations with the Irishman has fueled the rumors that maybe McGregor is coming back next year. Here’s what he had to say.
Dana White claims he’s had multiple phone calls with McGregor for UFC White House
After UFC 303’s initial plans for a Conor McGregor comeback fell through, Dana White has been hesitant to give fighters a spot on a massive PPV card due to issues with reliability. Jon Jones has been asking to fight at the White House event, but the UFC CEO refused to entertain that. The issue seems to be the same with McGregor, but White claims that he is evaluating the whole situation and is constantly engaged in discussions with ‘The Notorious’, who claims to be training for a return.
“He and I have been talking nonstop. And he’s like, ‘I’m dead serious. I want this. You know, I’m training. I’m back in the pool. I’m doing all this s–t.’ So, we’ll see,” Dana White revealed on the Impaulsive podcast on September 17, 2025. “We still have a long way to go [until June]. We still have a long way to go until February until we start making these cards, so we’ll see how it plays out.” White further added.
