Netball Uganda officially unveiled Dr. Manoj Joshi, the director for international partnerships and sponsorships for a two-year tenure effective 2025 to 2027.
The momentous event took place at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto, Kampala.
Jocelyn Ucanda, the president of Netball Uganda was joined by vice presidents Richard Muhumuza and William Bwambale as Dr Manoj officially signed the binding documentations.
Others present included the honorary general Secretary, Aminah Mande and Kampala Region representative, Yahaya Ssengabi (Kampala region representative), Alice Alweny (Eastern region representative), Sarah Nkonge Muwonge (Buganda region representative) as well as the National Council of Sports (NCS) represented by Annie Sarah Nankya, the Senior Sports Officer.
Dr Manoj accepted the role to represent Netball Uganda in the Diaspora. He is a non-executive member. His role is to secure for Netball Uganda international relationships, partnerships, marketing and brand enhancement, event & program development as well as stakeholder engagement & reporting.

Dr.Manoj, a UK-based Ugandan Indian who is renowned as a business, education and health expert.
He embraced the new responsibility with open hands after formalizing the memorandum of understanding.
I am humbled to take over my new role as the Netball Uganda international partnerships and sponsorship director. I am ready to link Netball Uganda to international brands. Also, I am ready to further foster education and youth development.

Dr.Manoj’s intention is to grow the sport beyond the field with players advised to pursue education using scholarships that he plans to achieve through UK universities.
The She Cranes that is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of this latest announcement is preparing for the Celtic cup in Scotland this November.

Dr. Manoj N. L. Joshi is a distinguished Ugandan-born philanthropist, retired pharmacist, and community leader based in the United Kingdom (UK).
He is a board member at London Business school who received an MBE (Member of the British Empire) and is a Deputy Lieutenant (DL) for West Yorkshire.
He is also the chairman of Bradford Economic partnership.
He is an honorary doctor from the University of Bradford, a former District Governor for Rotary International, and a trustee for several charitable organizations, dedicated to supporting less fortunate communities.
