Sunny Kaushal And Yami Gautam To Team Up For Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga Sequel: Report

Sunny Kaushal and Yami Gautam teamed up with Dinesh Vijan to deliver the thrilling crime drama Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, which garnered impressive views. Now, it is being reported that the duo is collaborating once again for the sequel, which this time will revolve around a heist on a cruise.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, while Sunny and Yami will reprise their lead roles, the makers are still finalising the rest of the cast. The portal quoted a source as saying, “The script of Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga 2 is locked, and the makers are aiming to take the film on floors by the end of 2025. The two leads – Sunny Kaushal and Yami Gautam – will return to their respective parts, and the makers are looking to cast more credible actors for the film.”
The source further added, “While Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga revolved around a heist in the air, the sequel has even higher stakes as the robbery takes place in the middle of an ocean. The entire plot of Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga 2 is set on a cruise, where all the madness unfolds. Much like the original, this one too will be an edge-of-the-seat thriller with comic elements.”
We hear the sequel will be filmed in international waters, with Dinesh Vijan and the team renting a cruise for a marathon schedule. Unlike the first part, which was a Netflix Original, the sequel is being considered for a theatrical release. “A final decision will be made soon, but the current intent is to take it to theatres,” the source revealed.
Sunny Kaushal’s work front
Sunny Kaushal, celebrated for his versatility and screen presence, began his acting career with Sunshine Music Tours and Travels (2016). He gained wider recognition with the critically acclaimed Gold (2018), where he portrayed a young hockey player alongside Akshay Kumar. He further showcased his range in Bhangra Paa Le (2020), which combined dance, drama, and Punjabi culture.
Last seen in Dhoom Dhaam, the actor is now set to feature alongside Emraan Hashmi in a courtroom drama inspired by the landmark 1985 Shah Bano vs. Ahmed Khan case. It is the second instalment in filmmaker Suparn S. Varma’s courtroom trilogy and is expected to release later this year.
