A metro crossover facility is a special track arrangement that allows Metro trains to switch from one track to another, usually between up (one direction) and down (opposite direction) lines. It ensures operational flexibility and emergency management in Metro systems.
After the PM’s inauguration of the 10.99-km section from Worli to Cuffe Parade, Mumbaiites will be able to travel from Aarey to Colaba in one hour, saving their one-two hours. The Worli to Cuffe Parade distance will be covered in 15 minutes.
