Need for higher education institutions to embrace AI and data-driven learning models stressed

A national conference titled ‘Envisioning Tomorrow’s University: A Transdisciplinary Dialogue on the Future Education’ organised by MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Goa, at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA-Vijayawada) highlighted the urgent need for higher education institutions to move away from traditional long-degree structures toward flexible, AI and data-driven learning models and industry-collaborative-skill-based courses.
Emphasis was also placed on integrating scientific insight with spiritual wisdom, sustainability and collaboration to spread a future-ready educational framework. The initiative, under the leadership of executive president of MIT-WPU Rahul V. Karad, brought together 25 scholars and practitioners from diverse fields like architecture, planning, engineering, technology, law, medicine, management, design, liberal arts and pharmacy. Experts from government organisations, industry and academia shared their experiences and diverse perspectives.
Programme director, MIT-WPU School of Design, and convener of the conference Ganesh Jadhav underscored the importance of such transdisciplinary dialogues in shaping the future of higher education in India.
