On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Pune is set to host Maharashtra’s first-ever drone show. Earlier, it was scheduled to happen on September 16, but it was later postponed due to heavy rains, and now it will be held today (Wednesday). Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol organised a series of programs to celebrate PM Modi’s birthday. The drone show will be held at night, followed by a live concert by popular singer Avadhoot Gupte. Ayodhya and Varanasi had witnessed the drone show before as well. But it will be for the first time in Maharashtra. The drone show named “Jyotine Tejachi Aarti” is being organised to celebrate PM Modi’s 75th birthday. “With 1,000 drones lighting up the sky, Punekars will experience cutting-edge technology while witnessing themes reflecting Maharashtra’s cultural pride and Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed India,” Mahol said. The union minister said that arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth execution of the event despite the weather conditions and rain. Following the heavy rains in Maharashtra, Mahol took to X, announcing its delay. “Due to the possibility of rain, the drone light show and the Avadhoot Gupte Live Concert have been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
