Kesineni Sivanath accuses YSRCP leaders of hatching conspiracies to obstruct Vijayawada Utsav

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) launched a scathing attack on YSRCP leaders, accusing them of hatching multiple conspiracies to derail the upcoming Vijayawada Utsav celebrations.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday (September 17), Mr. Sivanath alleged that despite several attempts by YSRCP leaders, including Devineni Avinash and Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani), their plans failed. He said the government had taken temple land on lease for ₹44 lakh for a period of 55 days to organise the festivities, ensuring everything was done transparently.

Mr. Sivanath said YSRCP leaders filed false petitions in court, alleging illegal occupation of temple land. “It is ironic that those who presided over encroachments and even the disappearance of Durga temple’s silver lions during former Minister Vellampalli’s tenure are now crying foul,” he said.

He accused Mr. Devineni Avinash of land-grabbing across Vijayawada and Perni Nani of rice misappropriation, calling them unfit to speak about public causes. He further slammed the “blue media” and Jagan Mohan Reddy for spreading baseless allegations that he was misusing the event for personal gain. “I am only a member of the Vijayawada Utsav committee, yet they falsely accuse me of a ₹500 crore scam. This is nothing but cheap politics,” he remarked.

Highlighting his vision, Mr. Sivanath said: “My goal is the development and reputation of Vijayawada. The YSRCP survives only on murder politics and rowdy culture. If they have courage, let them debate us on development and welfare instead of drama politics.”
