Award-winning Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show returned Wednesday with season 4, drawing fans back into the chaotic, backbiting world of the title national morning news program and its troubled network in a changing media landscape. And he show will return for a fifth season, the streamer said Tuesday.

The Morning Show debuts season 4 as fifth season gets green light
So season five got a green light and season four’s first two episodes are now streaming on Apple TV+. Starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup and a host of others — including heavyweight newcomers Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons — the new season explores truth in media in an age of burgeoning artificial intelligence. And, or course, office melodrama remains a staple.
Reviews of the season so far look mixed. “The Morning Show is still a mess in season 4 — just not in a fun way,” Variety says. The show “trades its insanity for tediousness,” adds The Daily Beast. But plenty of reviews suggest the “buzzy” show — much more a “sleek soap opera” than a substantive commentary — can still deliver a good time if you’re willing to suspend disbelief enough.
