On September 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the prospects of a new tourism complex in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, the presidential press service reported.
In recent years, infrastructure in the region has been significantly developed, creating favorable conditions for year-round travel. Large complexes such as Amirsoy, Chinorkent, Charvak Gate, as well as modern hotels, recreation facilities, and catering establishments have been put into operation.
Now, the international all-season resort Chimyan will also be added to this list. A total of 1,278 hectares of land have been allocated for the project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the French company MND.
As part of the project, hotels and a cable car reaching up to 3,300 meters above sea level will be built, ensuring year-round tourism opportunities. In winter, visitors will be able to enjoy skiing and snowboarding, while during other seasons, mountain tourism and recreational activities will be available.
The head of state inspected the hotels, restaurants, and shopping complexes at the site. In particular, a six-story modern hotel will accommodate 320 tourists. It is expected to serve an average of 45,000 visitors annually.
According to the presidential press service, another project in the region envisions the construction of seven- and five-story apart-hotels, a seven-story hotel, and a two-story restaurant. The quality of service will be brought to international standards, with the complex designed to accommodate more than 54,000 guests annually. Over 100 jobs will be created.
Currently, six chalets are under construction. The President emphasized the importance of applying advanced practices in construction and service provision in the new complexes, as well as improving staff qualifications. Instructions were given to actively attract both domestic and foreign tourists by promoting the region’s opportunities on tourism platforms.
The complex will also feature a parking lot for 300 cars. On its first floor, a restaurant, a children’s playground, and a shopping mall have been organized. This is expected to provide convenience and ensure the comprehensive provision of additional services for tourists.
“In general, the Chimyan all-season resort will create thousands of new jobs in the service sector and provide a stable source of income for the local population. It will offer tourists modern services and significantly increase the number of visitors to our country. Tourism in Bostanlyk is developing in harmony with other sectors, transforming the economic landscape of the entire region. Trade, services, and transport traffic are expanding. Therefore, a tunnel was also built on the highway as part of the all-season resort project,” the press service noted.
The new structure includes a 1,450-meter section of main road, two bridges, and pedestrian walkways. It will shorten access to mountain resorts in the region, improve safety, and ease vehicle movement. The tunnel will allow more than 500 cars per hour to pass safely and comfortably.
The convenience of roads is considered a key factor in fully realizing the tourism potential of the region and stimulating economic growth. At the same time, attention is being given to preserving pristine nature and fostering ecological awareness among vacationers.
It is worth noting that earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Bostanlyk district to review the conditions created at the Renaissance children’s health camp.
