Ahead of Syracuse game, Dabo Swinney defends the state of Clemson football: Ahead of Syracuse’s visit to Clemson this weekend, Tigers’ coach Dabo Swinney spent the majority of his time with reporters on Tuesday launching a lengthy defense of the state of his program. Swinney was prompted to defend the job he’s doing because his team, which entered the year among the favorites to win the national title, has opened the year 1-2. “We’re in a hole,” Swinney said. “We’re in a hole, man.
