Before the player, top celebrities will be teeing off in a similar format to the main event. Though it is aimed to be a light-hearted matchup, the rivalry on the course can absolutely heat up with celebrities aiming to win.
The All-Star Celebrity Match is a warm-up/ exhibition event held during the Ryder Cup week. It is scheduled to tee off on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Interestingly, the All-Star will feature celebrities from the United States and Europe. The list of celebrities includes sports icons, actors, award-winning musicians, world-renowned chefs, and more. If you got excited just yet, then hold your horses to see the teams.
Team USA includes Kane Brown (musician), Bobby Flay (chef), Colin Jost (writer), Noah Kahan (songwriter), Miranda Lambert (singer), Eli Manning (New York Giants player), John McEnroe (retired tennis pro), and Michael Strahan (Emmy winner, Super Bowl Champion, and Peabody Award-winning journalist). Three New Yorkers will see plenty of hometown support. But not to forget, the European team boasts some of the top names that would divide the support.
On the European side, the fans will be supporting Jose Andres (chef), Brooklyn Beckham (English media personality, model, and photographer), Tom Felton (English actor and musician), Pau Gasol (basketball pro with 2X NBA champ), Toni Kukoc (three-time NBA Champ), Oliver Phelps (actor), Teemu Selanne (hockey pro) and Catherin Zeta-Jones (actress).
With all the top names, the event will tee off two days before the main event. But in a unique format that makes the event more exciting and fan-oriented.
Format and TV schedule of All-Star Match
The event teeing off on September 24 at Bethpage Black in New York will follow a 10-hole scramble competition. The teams will compete 2 v2 across four matches for 1 point per hole. In a tie, the points will be divided in half. With 10 points on each game, the team to reach 20 and a half will win the event.
But unlike the golf event, the holes are selected and are not in numeric order. The All-Star Match will begin on hole 1 and then continue with 15, 16, 17, and 18 holes. Interestingly, holes 15-18 will be played twice before the trophy presentation on the 18th hole takes place.
Fans can enjoy live scoring and video highlights on the Ryder Cup official website and the Ryder Cup app. As of now, the TV schedule for the event is not shared. The event is scheduled to tee off at 7:45 am.
