Want to slim down? This French technique could be the key to weight loss

A French beauty treatment has been hailed as the next big thing for weight loss.

With the prices of Mounjaro skyrocketing from September many may be trying to find an alternative treatment that works to keep the weight off.

And a long used beauty treatment originating from France is said to be the secret magic treatment that is making its way over the pond.

It is called LPG Endermologie and is said to stimulate the nervous system at a cellular level to help your mind and body reset when it comes to exercise and food intake.

LPG Endermologie is said to be the treatment French women swear by and is the number one most popular professional skin and body treatment in France, according to experts.

It was first established as a way of treating burns by French doctors in the 1980s and now “can be seen in tiny villages all-around France” according to fans.

Dr Marie Vincent, the founder of The French Pharmacy in Marylebone told The Telegraph: “In France, dealing with la cellulite is a serious business. They have institutes dedicated to draining massage techniques and supermarket aisles (not just shelves) reserved for le drainage.

“We start young when it comes to cellulite, and try to be proactive about preventing it in the first place.”

“I’ve seen my mum all my life booking in for regular Endermologie. It’s not magic, it’s science. And even in tiny villages all over France, you’ll find a therapist performing it.”

Here is all we know:

It is essentially beauty treatment and involves a deep tissue massage which uses a machine with both rollers and a suction device.

Originally created for use in physiotherapy, it’s more effective than traditional hand massage at stimulating lymphatic drainage and helping to get rid of sagging skin and wrinkles.

Now the company that makes the machine has announced a new generation of tech: the Cellu M6 Infinity, which they claim offers a “more precise cellular stimulation” so the treatments are tailored to each individual’s needs.

The company claims that during clinical trials, after a programme of 12 sessions, people showed both improved eating behaviour and a 4.3 per cent increase in leptin, which is the hormone that makes us feel full.

This enabled people to feel fuller for longer, listen to their hunger cues and make smarter choices.

During the treatment, users wear a full body stocking so that the mechanical head of the machine never touches your skin.

A 12 week course, with two sessions a week, is what is typically recommended for best results.

For a ballpark figure, it costs around £120 for an hour-long session, but some people’s needs may be different to others.

The company recommend going to be an expert to talk through what you would like to get out of it, so a treatment plan can be made individually.

The treatment is now in London at a variety of different clinics all over the capital.

Beauty experts are training up in the LPG treatment, and they advise to only go to a centre that has been recommended by them.

There are clinics in Knightsbridge, Westminster, Covent Garden, Islington and in south London.

The centre has a handy tool on the website which allows a person to put in their postcode and they can find the nearest beauty clinic nearest to them.
