Donald Trump Heads to Meet King Charles at Windsor for UK State Visit: Live Updates

U.S. President Donald Trump is due to arrive at Windsor Castle on Wednesday for his first full day of a state visit to the U.K.
It is an unprecedented second state visit for an American president and an attempt by the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to strengthen relations with the Trump administration as they negotiate on the thorny issue of trade.
Wednesday’s agenda is full of royal pomp and ceremony before the visit shifts to hard politics and bilateral meetings on Thursday, where tariffs, investment, and the Ukraine war are at the top of the agenda.
Today, Trump will spend time with King Charles, including a private luncheon with their spouses, First Lady Melania Trump and Queen Camilla; a visit to St. George’s Chapel to lay a wreath at the tomb of the late Queen Elizabeth II; watching a “Beating Retreat” musical performance; and a state banquet in the evening.
