Ariana Grande ‘incredibly bothered’ by ticket touts

Ariana Grande is working to stop secondary ticket resellers profiting off her upcoming tour and said she is working hard to ensure…

An Ariana Grande fan has been locked in a battle with Ticketmaster after the company allegedly left her with $80,000 worth of charges — and no tickets.
Brisbane-based influencer Jade Campbell has gone viral after she took to TikTok to claim Ticketmaster Canada had wrongly made multiple charges after she attempted to purchase two tickets to Grande’s upcoming show in Montreal.
News.com.au has reached out to Ticketmaster Canada for comment.
“Everything went through. We had the tickets in our account and got a confirmation number,” Jade told news.com.au.
Sadly for the pair, their excitement was short-lived when an email arrived in their inbox from Ticketmaster Canada telling them their tickets had been cancelled.

Australian Ariana Grande fan charged $80k for tickets to the star’s concert

Brisbane-based influencer Jade Campbell lashed out at Ticketmaster in a…

Things then went from bad to worse when Jade noticed multiple charges on her partner’s credit card that totalled a whopping $80,000.
“I had to use my partner’s card and he was in a meeting so it wasn’t until about half an hour after they cancelled our tickets that we realised all the charges had been made.”
Jade explained that after seeing the tickets had been cancelled she immediately called Ticketmaster Canada to find out what had happened.

“They said they didn’t know and that it was really unusual but to just go on the resale site again and purchase the tickets again. But it wouldn’t go through and it just kept saying the tickets weren’t available.

In a desperate bid to secure the tickets again, Jade turned to her mum for help and tried with her credit card instead, but it was sadly to no avail.
“We tried a different set of resale tickets and it said there was an error. We even attempted to use a different credit card. because we didn’t know whether it was an issue with the payment or just that there were no tickets left.”
Not only had Ticketmaster made numerous charges to her partner’s credit card during this time, but now they were attempting to charge her mum’s credit card too, despite the fact they still hadn’t secured any tickets.
“Up until two days ago she was still getting texts from her bank saying that Ticketmaster is trying to charge amounts ranging from $4500 and $5000. She received at least eight of these texts.”

Sadly Jade’s partner wasn’t so lucky, and the charges went through due to his card having a higher credit limit.
Jade quickly realised that she was now in tens of thousands of dollars worth of debt and didn’t even have any tickets to show for it. She immediately rang Ticketmaster Canada back, desperate to get answers.
“They said they could see all the charges on their end and said they could reverse them, but said they needed to escalate the issue first,” she explained.
“They were going to put us through to a supervisor who was going to email us, but we still haven’t heard anything back. So in the meantime we’ve been calling them up and every time we get through to speak with someone they hang up on us.”

Grande took to social media to hit out at ticket scalpers. Picture: Getty.
“The lack of response from Ticketmaster has been so bad, and they won’t even talk to us. We also lost our Ariana Grande tickets for Montreal which were front row.
“It was a big deal for us to have to fly all the way over there from Australia, but we were willing to do it. It’s just been really stressful and it looks like we might not end up with any tickets.”
Jade added that they are determined to find a way to get their tickets back, and want Ticketmaster Canada “held accountable” so a similar issue doesn’t impact someone else.
It comes after Grande took to social media to call out resellers who have been massively inflating the price of tickets to the upcoming tour.

While face value tickets are all sold out, ticket inventory can be found at inflated prices on resale sites such as StubHub.
“hi my angels, i have been on set all week but i wanted to let you know that what’s been happening with the secondary ticket resellers has been brought to my attention and of course i am incredibly bothered by it,” Grande wrote in her message.

She continued, “i’ve been on the phone every second of my free time fighting for a solution. i hear you and hopefully, we will be able to get more of these tickets into your hands instead of theirs. it’s not right.”
“i just wanted you to know that my team and i see it and that i care very much and we will do, and are doing, everything we can. i love you so much and thank you for your patience and understanding,” Grande said.
