Mbadiwe Twins' brother shares ordeal, thanks Nigerians

Odera Mbadiwe, the younger brother of Big Brother Naija stars Ocee and Ozee Mbadiwe, popularly known as the Mbadiwe Twins, has expressed deep gratitude to Nigerians for their overwhelming love and support during his recent disappearance.

Recall that the twins had raised an alarm on social media after Odera went missing on September 1, 2025, in Victoria Island, Lagos, while driving his father’s Nissan 350Z Convertible.

They shared details of his appearance, describing him as 6ft2 with a muscular build, a black fade haircut, and brown eyes, while urging anyone with information to contact the police.

Recounting his ordeal on Instagram, Odera revealed that he was forcefully given a concoction of harmful substances, leaving him incapacitated and unable to reach his family.

He said a kind-hearted young woman and a gentleman eventually found him helpless on the roadside and contacted his family, leading to his safe return.

He further commended the Nigerian Police and other security agencies for their swift response and efforts in ensuring his recovery.

He wrote, “Thank You All – I’m Grateful to Be Found and Healing. After being missing for three days, I, Odera Mbadiwe of the Ozumba Mbadiwe family, am deeply thankful to be safe and recovering.

“It was later discovered that a concoction of multiple harmful substances had been introduced into my system by person or persons unknown to me, which led to a very difficult and uncertain time. However, with God’s grace and the unwavering support of my loved ones, I am here today — safe and getting stronger each day.

“I want to express my heartfelt thanks to my family, friends, and the general public (in particular the young lady and gentleman who in spite of daunting challenges were able to make contact with my family.) Your kind messages, well wishes, and the critical information shared during this challenging period helped in ways I can’t fully express.

Odera is currently recovering and regaining strength, thanking his family, friends, and the general public for their kind messages and well-wishes.

“I’m also incredibly grateful to the Nigerian Police and other security agencies for their dedication and hard work in ensuring my safe return.

“I am feeling much better now, growing stronger every day, and slowly returning to my old self. This experience has reminded me of the power of community, love, and faith.

“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Odera Ozuomba Mbadiwe”, he added.
