Legendary British boxer Ricky Hatton has died at the age of 46, with his body discovered at his Greater Manchester home on Sunday morning.
Hatton’s son, Campbell Hatton, 24, posted a heartfelt tribute on social media, expressing his heartbreak and love for his father.
He wrote that “heartbroken isn’t the word,” recalling how people always said he was his father’s double, someone he looked up to in every aspect of life.
Known as “The Hitman”, Hatton was a highly popular figure in British boxing, holding multiple world titles in the light-welterweight and welterweight divisions.
His family released a statement remembering him for his kindness, humor, loyalty, and as one of boxing’s greatest champions, while Hatton had previously been open about his struggles with mental health and addiction.
