Sam Kerr, Alyssa Thompson, Catarina Macario, Naomi Girma, Keira Walsh, Ellie Carpenter, Millie Bright, Guro Reiten, and more—imagine all of these names in one team. Well, you don’t have to, because a quick look at Chelsea shows that having such stars together surely makes it one of the best rosters in the world. Though it may seem it gives them a clear advantage over other teams, USWNT star Lynn Biyendolo thinks otherwise.
The Seattle Reign star believes that even though Chelsea is “unbelievably stacked” and expected to dominate every other team and competition, this doesn’t intimidate Biyendolo, who reminds the Blues that even great kings can be dethroned. Instead, the 33-year-old offered stark advice for the WSL side—guidance that could help them maintain their equilibrium as “invincibles” with a squad of this caliber.
“At this current moment in time, obviously,” began Lynn Biyendolo on The Women’s Game podcast, when quizzed by Sam Mewis whether Chelsea has the best team or not. “But we have seen super teams before in a whole bunch of different sports that haven’t worked out,” she added, urging Sonia Bompastor and Co. to remain grounded.

Giving strong advice to the West Londoners, the veteran forward added, “And I think it’s important to know that when you’re building a super team you still need superstars, working bees and personalities to like connect in the right way. And if Chelsea can do that, and get all that correct, I think they’re gonna be unstoppable.”
