Both have been depicted, and I vividly remember having a Monster book when I was a kid that showed that vampires teeth are hollow and that the blood goes into their bloodstream and is processed by a new organ that forms from human organs when they are transforming
It all depends on the individual piece of media you are talking about as some use existing lore, some create their own, and others mix and match. Meaning theres no fixed lore, and both drinking through teeth and drinking normally has been used in different things

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen the tube-teeth version in multiple depictions, I imagine for censorship purposes (adventure time comes to mind; blood from arteries fed directly thru teeth-tube means you don’t actually have to depict any blood being spilled). If you want “realism” (I’m gonna define that for this comment as “taking inspiration from nature), then bite -> release -> drink from holes is the proper choice.

I’ve always thought it’d be the same way a human would bite another human, blood stars running and you suck it with your actual mouth instead of teeth. I’ve never even though about it that way
