Osun 2026: I will fix infrastructural deficit – APC aspirant

From Lateef Dada, Osogbo

The Chief Executive Officer of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, said he has identified infrastructural deficit in many areas and promised to fix it elected come 2026.

He faulted claims that a governor must be radical to be able to govern in Nigeria, saying that governance is a serious business for whoever want to deliver

Speaking at a media parley in Osogbo yesterday, Oyebamiji expressed optimism that APC will return to power, noting that his tour of 21 local governments has showed that people want a serious person to lead the state.

He stressed that the tour has exposed him to infrastructural deficit in many areas which he would address if elected in 2026.

“I’ve moved round above twenty-one local governments to consult, and I discovered, and I deduced that there are a lot of infrastructural deficits in Osun. I want to let my people in Osun know that I’m going to address that.

“I have to tell you that I’m overwhelmed. I’m seriously encouraged with the preparation of our people. They have prepared to take government from the PDP to APC. They want that shift, and I’ve seen that the APC people, we have worked so hard. They want Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) to take over from the present government, and we won’t disappoint them.

“We will work hard to justify our rating presently, and by the time our leaders decide on who to run, all the aspirants have agreed that we will join hands together to support whoever our elders pick,” Oyebamiji said.
