KPop Demon Hunters’ Soundtrack Climbs Back To No. 1 Position On Billboard 200 Chart Three Months After Release

KPop Demon Hunters has become Netflix’s biggest movie ever and that’s pretty significant for an animated film. It has broken records on the box office as well and now it is all set to break yet another record. According to the latest reports, KPop Demon Hunters’ has hit yet another milestone – topping the Billboard 200 chart nearly three months after its release. KPop Demon Hunters Tops Billboard 200 Chart The soundtrack, initially released in June with a deluxe version released in September, hit No. 1 on the album chart, according to Billboard, it previously sat at No. 2 on the chart. The film’s lead single, Golden, has been sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Three other songs from the film are in the Hot 100 top 10. Your Idol and Soda Pop sit at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, and Huntr/x’s How It’s Done is at No. 9 on the chart. Earlier, MTV announced the 2025 Video Music Awards nominees for Best Group and Song of the Summer. Voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, the track gained explosive momentum following the release of KPop Demon Hunters on June 20, and as of August 22, it has shattered all previous records, setting a new benchmark that may remain unchallenged for a long time. Kpop Demon Hunters is co-written and co-directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, and follows Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong) and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo), three young-adult popstars in a group called Huntr/x, who are tasked to deal with supernatural threats because of their ancient demon slayer lineage.
