The Office star looks unrecognizable as he shows off 50-pound weight loss from vegan diet

The Office star Craig Robinson showcased his impressive weight loss over the weekend as he stepped out for a pre-Emmys event in Los Angeles.

The 53-year-old actor wore a form-fitting black T-shirt, which showed off his muscles, and ripped skinny jeans. He completed the look with fashionable black leather shoes and a silver lion head necklace.

Robinson appeared to be in good spirits as he attended The Travel Lounge, hosted by Peta Phipps, founder and editor-in-chief of Caribbean Living Magazine, at 1 Hotel West Hollywood’s Juniper Lounge and Garden, on September 12.

Although it’s unknown how much weight he’s dropped since he last revealed he had lost 50 pounds in 2017, he appeared noticeably thinner – especially given the definition in his arms and slimmer face.

Last year, he revealed in an interview with Us Weekly that one of his goals in life is to ‘live a healthy lifestyle.’

‘Consistency is key, and my goal is to work out a little every day, even if it’s just for five minutes,’ he told the outlet. ‘Something is better than nothing.’

According to Robinson, this includes daily walks and hikes. He went on to say that he collects ‘walking canes from all over the world – France, Jamaica, Africa,’ which he uses as extra support when he goes on hikes.

He also said that he ‘loves vegan food,’ but admitted he’s not a vegan, a diet that is devoid of meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, and any other animal-derived substances.

‘I love to order Pizza Hut Melts from Pizza Hut,’ he confessed.

Nearly eight years ago, the comedian told Harry Connick Jr. on his talk show, Harry, that he ‘lost a bunch of weight,’ dishing that the total amount was 50 pounds.

He credited his massive weight loss at the time to following a vegan diet and giving up alcohol.

‘I haven’t been drinking since January. I just put down the alcohol. I was going to detox… I had heard, I don’t know how true it is, but I heard you can regenerate your liver in six months.

‘I was like, “Let me see if I can go six months,” and I just haven’t gone back. And then working out and I’ve been trying this vegan lifestyle too,’ he said.

‘It’s amazing. There are so many great vegan restaurants and dishes. It’s much easier than I thought it would be.’

Robinson is best known for portraying the character Darryl Philbin on The Office from 2005 to 2013, starring alongside Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson and Kate Flannery.

He then starred in This Is the End with James Franco, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen. He won an MTV Movie Award in 2014 for ‘Best Musical Moment’ in the comedy film.

Apart from starring in other projects, such as Hot Tub Time Machine and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, he has also voiced many animated characters in shows like American Dad! and The Bad Guys 2.

In addition, he starred in a Peacock original, Killing It, for two seasons, which followed his and co-star Jillian’s (played by Claudia O’Doherty) pursuit of the American Dream.

When he’s not lending his voice or starring in a show or movie, he’s on the road as a traveling comedian and performs in his funk band, Craig Robinson and The Nasty Delicious.

Over the summer, he pranked fans into thinking he was retiring from comedy.

He posted a video message on Instagram, sharing with his fans, ‘Hey, everybody! Just wanted you to hear it from me: I am quitting comedy, but not for nothing.

‘It’s been an amazing run, and y’all been amazing and wonderful. But I’m following something bigger. So, you know, thank you so much. I love you, and stay tuned.’

It was later revealed that his ‘new business’ was part of an mock ad for AT&T called Wake Up with CrAIg, for which he had enlisted help from his The Office co-stars Angela Kinsey, Ellie Kemper, Oscar Nuñez, and Creed Bratton, to develop the new AI product CrAIg.

CrAIg was not a real consumer product, however, and was just used for the campaign to target small business owners.
