The Minnesota Vikings pulled off a massive come-from-behind victory on Monday night, as J.J. McCarthy and company pulled from behind a 17-6 score to win the game 27-24 in the fourth quarter.More news: Bears President Announces Official Plans to Relocate Team Out of ChicagoBoth sides of the ball came together to score touchdowns, and the defense also stopped Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears from putting together anything but one touchdown in the fourth. The fourth-quarter comeback also led to McCarthy receiving his first-ever NFC Player of the Week nod.Though the victory was solid, it did not come without some cost. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell revealed some brutal news on three defenders. It was already known that Blake Cashman suffered an injury that led to his being removed from the game. Cashman is set to miss a few weeks due to a hamstring issue, but he will now be joined by Ty Chandler.O’Connell revealed that Chandler was able to “finish the game,” but he is also set to miss “some time.”More news: Minnesota Vikings Could Make Surprising RB Move”I know with Blake Cashman and Ty Chandler, Ty was able to finish the game, but it looks like both of them will miss some time. We’re still working through what that looks like roster-wise. I don’t have a real-time table as far as what that looks like from the standpoint of the next few weeks. Jeff Okudah and Andrew Van Ginkel did come out of the game and have been placed in the concussion protocol,” O’Connell stated.O’Connell also stated that Okudah and Van Ginkel will be something to monitor on their short week, but both will also need to pass the concussion protocol to be able to play. With the Vikings playing Monday night and having to turn around and take on the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, there may not be enough time to get Okudah and Van Ginkel through the concussion protocols to suit up.The worst-case scenario for the Vikings is that they will face the Falcons without four of their defensive starters. For more on the Vikings and NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.
