Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor share screen space in Homebound
In Homebound, Ishaan shares screen space with Janhvi and Vishal Jethwa. The film tells the story of two childhood friends, Shoaib Ali (played by Ishaan) and Chandan Kumar (portrayed by Vishal), who grow up in a North Indian village with dreams of escaping the weight of their marginalised identities. Their journey, however, takes a turbulent turn as circumstances trigger both internal and external conflicts that put their friendship to the test.
The film has already made waves internationally with its showcase at Cannes, though its theatrical release date is yet to be revealed. Homebound also marks an on-screen reunion for Ishaan and Janhvi, a pairing that has left fans eagerly awaiting the film.
In July, Ishaan reflected on his earlier collaboration with Janhvi in Dhadak. Speaking to Zoom, he recalled how the two relied on each other during some of the film’s most emotionally demanding moments. He described how his character in Dhadak was caught in a struggle – torn between trying to be a strong partner for Janhvi’s character while grappling with his own pain.
Homebound is yet to release in India. As for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, the film hits the screens on October 2. It also stars Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf.
