Green Bay will head to Cleveland on Sunday afternoon to face the Browns. The Browns are a team right now that is in total dysfunction. The quarterback room is puzzling. Joe Flacco was pulled after a rough start versus the Ravens, giving rookie Dillon Gabriel an opportunity.
However, the Packers should not look past the Browns. On the defensive side of the ball, they possess one of the league’s best pass rushers in Myles Garrett. Garrett has the ability to make life completely miserable for the Packers offense. Jordan Love needs to protect the ball, putting the offense in favorable situations.
The utilization of Tucker Kraft in the offense has been one of the highlights. Kraft is continuing to break out, he is a yards after catch machine. Just when you think he will be tackled, he presses on like no one is going to bring him down without a fight.
Meanwhile, the Packers defense is seeing every single player step up. With the addition of Parsons, you see the contributions of Rashan Gary, Edgerrin Cooper, Lukas Van Ness, and Devonte Wyatt. Jeff Hafley has these guys playing like they are searching for blood in the water.
There is a fearlessness and an edge this team has never had. The defense is the thing that can give the offense some opportunity to experiment and figure out what works. While the offense can trust the defense to generate takeaways and have an elite pass rush.
While the Packers definitely look like the most complete team through the first two weeks, it is a long season. It is up to this team to grow and continue to push each other towards the ultimate goal, Sunday is another opportunity to do just that.
