Kevin Taylor slams Dr Bawumia after apologising to Ghanaians over NPP's failure, video

Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has apologised to Ghanaians for the NPP government’s failuresIn response, Kevin Taylor slammed the apology as vague, arguing Bawumia failed to specify exactly what he was sorry for Taylor further claimed that both Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong are unfit to lead, stirring mixed reactions on social media

Controversial Ghanaian political commentator, Kevin Ekow Taylor, has jabbed former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, over his recent apology to Ghanaians.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s flagbearer for the 2024 election delivered an apology to Ghanaians during an event addressing the party’s delegates.

Dr Bawumia said they failed during their governance between 2017 and 2025 and asked for Ghanaians to forgive them.

“I stand here as part of a collective, we all made a mistake from the Vice President, Ministers, MPs, Board Chairmen and appointees. We all failed so please forgive us, forgive us. We have learned our lessons and if by God’s grace you elect me as your flagbearer and I become president, it would not happen again.” he said.

Kevin Taylor jabs Bawumia over apology

In a TikTok video seen by YEN.com.gh, Kevin Taylor slammed Dr Bawumia for apologising to Ghanaians in a vague manner.

He said if he truly felt remorse for the NPP’s bad governance, he would have stated their failures in detail before asking for forgiveness.

Kevin Taylor, who spoke during a recent episode of his show With All Due Respect, said without the specifics of the NPP’s wrongdoings, Ghanaians would not be prepared to forgive them.

“You say we should forgive you, but what did you do? Did you not claim that your government had performed better than any government in history? You claimed you implemented 33 policies that transformed Ghana, so what exactly are you apologising for that you cannot specify? You can’t just come and tell Ghanaians to forgive you, tell us what you did wrong first.” Taylor fumed.

The US based online personality added that Bawumia and his main rival for the NPP flagbearership, former Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong, are both unfit to lead Ghana.

“You’re too desperate, you look so sad to me, I feel pity for you. Because what do you need this power for? I can see through you people, you are light in thinking, you don’t have what it takes to lead. Kennedy Agyapong is temperamental, and you’re a liar. How can we hand over the country to such people?” he added.
