And it’s another week-long shopping marathon this October

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale is officially coming, and it’s the biggest one ever! Running for a full seven days from October 7 to October 13, it beats the six-day sale we saw last year, and matches the week-long Prime Day we enjoyed in July. It kicks off the massive end-of-year shopping season, which culminates in Black Friday and then Christmas.

Our colleagues in the United States are calling it a ‘mini Prime Day sale’, but that’s because the American sale is only 48 hours long. Acting as a true second Prime Day in Singapore and Down Under, there’s nothing ‘mini’ about the deals we’ll be seeing.
Similar to the first event in July, the discounts during Big Deal Days are exclusive to Prime members – including limited-time ‘lightning’ deals. Luckily, with the deals ending on October 13, you can take advantage of Amazon’s 30-day free trial of Prime now to gain access. And, if you find the service isn’t quite right for you, you can cancel at any time within your 30-day window to avoid the subscription cost.

Note, Amazon Australia’s Prime membership is only available to customers with an Australian billing address, though delivery can be made to New Zealand.

What to expect from Prime Big Deal Days
Positioned perfectly between the mid-year and Black Friday sales, Prime Big Deal Days is the first major opportunity for shoppers to get a head start on holiday shopping.
While you might be tempted to wait until November, Amazon has already confirmed deals from top brands like Lego and Samsung, as well as Amazon devices like Ring security cameras, Fire TV Sticks and Kindle ereaders. And, if it’s anything like last year’s sale, we expect the seven-day event to cover thousands of products, from tech and homewares to everyday essentials.
Considering the sheer number of the best Amazon deals we see each week, a dedicated event that promises to improve its usual offering to Prime members is exciting in its own right. To help get an idea of what to expect in October, here are some of our favourite deals we saw in Australia during July’s Prime Day sale.

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 (1 pack)
AU$55 AU$37
Samsung’s alternative to Apple’s AirTag was redesigned in 2023 and has been reasonably well received, making it a good Bluetooth tracker for non-Apple user. It’ll let you keep tabs on the location of whatever you attach it to and, critically, it works with Android. The price drops we saw on the single and 4-pack this July was very good indeed.

Logitech Lift
AU$129.95 AU$65
This ergonomic vertical mouse is perfect for small hands and is set up just right to encourage better posture, thus reducing aches along the wrist, shoulder and shoulder blade. They quickly started to disappear from stock at their lowest price yet of AU$65.

Bose Ultra Open Earbuds
AU$449.95 AU$284.95
Offering “incredible sound”, the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds have all the power and quality you’d expect from a Bose-branded item while providing the benefits of an open-ear form factor. The Immersive sound is excellent, and there’s also up to seven hours of play time and up to 48 hours of standby time. They simply just work and work very well.

Philips 5000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer Steam
AU$499 AU$287
Ever cooked with steam in an air fryer? Now you can with this Philips two-drawer air fryer. In our review we said that it cooks everything really well, but there are some caveats to keep in mind when it comes to the use of steam. Still, it’s absolutely worth the investment if you want to upgrade from an old air fryer, more so because it was at its cheapest yet in July.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones
AU$649 AU$350.95
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra are a stunning set of headphones and comfortably the best when it comes to active noise-cancellation. Their sound quality is nothing short of exquisite, and the ability to turn any song into a spatial audio one thanks to Immersive Mode earns it another gold star. As did the fact that they were down to a record-low Amazon price in July 2025.

Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024; 16GB)
AU$649 AU$449
Kindles are known for their reading capabilities, but with the Kindle Scribe, you get that and a whole lot more. With a wide range of writing features, you can take notes, create sketches and brainstorm like a pro. We love the 10.2-inch glare-free screen that has its own ambient light sensor to adjust screen brightness automatically, and we can’t complain about its battery life either. This is the complete package if you want an ereader and a digital journal and it was at its cheapest too.
