Ramachandran Success Story: The success stories of businessman are not oblivious to us. Every story has grit and determination in common. But Ramachandrans success has a surprise for everyone because he neither started his business by investing lakhs of rupees nor did he make any expensive product. Through a product of just Rupee 1 or 2 he made his place in every household of the country and today his business empire speaks for itself.
How the story began?
This story of Ramachandran a resident of Thrissur in Kerala begins from his school days. He took a B.Com degree from St. Thomas College and after doing post graduation he started working as an accountant. Although he was earning well from this job but his dream was to do something of his own from the beginning. Ramachandran who already had a creative mind then thought of making a laundry whitener.
Found the formula for success
Ramachandran kept trying to make laundry whitener in his kitchen. He tried it many times but did not succeed. Finally an article published in a magazine gave him the formula for success whic explained how to make a purple whitener that makes clothes more white and bright. Based on this article Ramachandran spent a year trying to make it. Finally he got success. After getting the formula Ramachandran took a loan of Rs 5000 in 1983 and started work by setting up a small lab on his ancestral land. He named this lab after his daughter Jyoti and started a small factory. Initially he made a few products but the real success came from a product called Ujala Supreme Liquid Fabric Whitener. This cheap product was liked all over the country and became a part of every household.
What all products did the company make?
Ramachandrans company and his products first achieved success in South India and in the year 1997 he started expanding his products to North India as well. Slowly this product started being liked all over the country. After nearly a decade of tireless hard work the products made by Ramachandrans Jyoti Lab changed his fortunes. Today the products of this company are liked all over the country. The market cap of Jyoti Lab has also increased to about 17 thousand crores rupees.

Ramachandrans company Jyoti Labs has made many more products after Ujala Whitener which are liked all over the country today. The most liked products of the company include dish washes like Ujala Henco Mr. White More Light Exo and Pril personal care products like Margo Neem and Fa home care products like Maxo T-Shine Maya Agarbatti and the company is also making insect and mosquito repellent products.
