Gaza, September 16 (QNA) – The toll from the unabating Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 64,964 fatalities and 165,312 injuries.
Hospitals in the enclave received 59 fatalities and 386 injuries during the latest 24-hour reporting period, with several victims still trapped under bombed-out buildings and in the streets, as medics and civil defense rescuers were unable to reach them, health authorities in Gaza explained in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement added that hospitals received 112 injuries following the Israeli targeting of civilians queuing for aid, bringing the total number of those who reached hospitals to 2,497, while the number of wounded exceeded 18,294.
Three deaths due to starvation and malnutrition were recorded, including a child, bringing the total number of starvation victims to 428, among them 146 children, the statement continued.
Gaza’s health authorities stated that the casualty toll since the Israeli occupation forces breached the ceasefire deal on March 18 has soared to 12,413 fatalities and 53,271 injuries. (QNA)
