'Walking Dead' Script Supervisor Amy Blanc Lacy Dies After Hit-and-Run

“The Walking Dead” script supervisor Amy Blanc Lacy, 62, died on Sept. 5 after she was struck in a hit-and-run four days prior. A man has been charged with homicide by vehicle in her death, the Atlanta Police Department reported.
According to a report from the Atlanta Police Department, 31-year-old Buck Rollins was driving westbound on Northside Parkway NW around 5 p.m. on Sept. 1. He then lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a Toyota Prius occupied by Lacy and her two adult sons. All three were rushed to the hospital, and Lacy succumbed to her injuries on Sept. 5 after being removed from life support.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by People, Rollins was reportedly going 90 mph in a 45 mph zone when he drove over a curb, launching the car into the air and into the Prius.
After the crash, the affidavit states Rollins drove further down Mount Paran Road and parked his vehicle near the Interstate 75 bridge. He was reportedly spotted on video removing his golf clubs from the car and “walking away casually from the scene of the accident.”
The Atlanta Police Department reported that Rollins was later charged with homicide by vehicle, hit and run, reckless driving and speeding.
“Walking Dead” star Khary Payton took to Instagram to honor his longtime colleague.
“Amy. You’ve always been an angel,” he wrote. “I’ll be looking for you in all the little beautiful things. Love and miss you.”
Erin Lee Carr, who worked with Lacy on “Murdaugh: Death in the Family,” wrote on Instagram, “I, along with hundreds of my colleagues, spent countless hours with her this past year. While she was ostensibly our script supervisor, she was so much more. Amy was the bright light available to all of us each day. She always had a hug, a giggle, a new fact to share. She treated everyone with absolute kindness.”
Outside of “The Walking Dead,” Lacy also worked as a script supervisor on shows like “Kingdom Business,” “Loki,” “MacGyver” and “Halt and Catch Fire.”
