Turning the lens on Horizon City, a valuable community safety initiative is taking place later this month as local authorities join hands with healthcare partners to educate and protect. The Horizon City Police Department has announced a collaboration with the University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso to offer a Free Car Seat Safety Class, aimed at ensuring the well-being of the youngest and most vulnerable passengers on our roads.
Set for September 27, during National Seat Check Saturday, the event invites all interested parties to come to Fox Acura, located at 7772 Gateway Blvd E, El Paso, Texas. From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, parents, guardians, and expectant mothers in their third trimester are encouraged to participate. Walk-ins are welcome; the importance of such events is punctuated by the inclusion and utility they promise within our daily hustle. “Child must be present,” says the social media post from Horizon City Police Department.
When it comes to child safety, knowing is half the battle. Certified technicians will be available to inspect car seats and provide crucial insights into proper installation and usage. Potential hazards can lurk in the most innocent of misalignments, a reality that the Horizon City Police Department seeks to mitigate through direct engagement and education.
