Sessions will take place on Wednesdays at 12:30pm to 2pm from September to December, combining a practical introduction to AI with a relaxed lunchtime format. Attendees will enjoy lunch while learning how AI tools can support productivity, marketing, and day-to-day efficiency, without the jargon or technical overwhelm.
Laura, founder of ConsuLT PR & Marketing Ltd, is a CIM-qualified Generative AI Specialist with over 20 years’ experience supporting organisations across the West Midlands. She has worked with SMEs, charities, and professional services to help them use AI responsibly, efficiently, and with confidence.
She said: “I know many businesses and individuals feel both curious and cautious about AI right now. The workshop sessions are designed to make the technology accessible, show how it can work alongside people rather than replace them, and give attendees practical takeaways they can put into action straight away. It’s about confidence, not complexity.”
The collaboration highlights Beacon Centre’s commitment to supporting local businesses and community organisations through innovation. The Beacon Centre for the Blind charity has been helping people in the Black Country and South Staffordshire to live well with sight loss for 150 years.
Lisa Cowley, Chief Executive of Beacon Centre, added: “At Beacon, we know the importance of embracing technology to make life easier and more inclusive. Partnering with Laura to host these AI ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions gives local organisations the chance to explore AI in a supportive, practical way. We are proud to play our part in demystifying new technology and ensuring our community can thrive with the opportunities it brings.”
Workshops can be booked individually at £75.00 per session or all three sessions can be booked at a discounted price of £200. Spaces are limited, particularly for the Prompting Fundamentals session, which will be capped at 20 participants to ensure personalised support.
The workshops are open to businesses, charities, and community leaders across the Black Country and beyond. Spaces are limited, and booking is required in advance.
