Three-time All-Star Ben Simmons remains without a team as training camp for the 2025-26 NBA season nears.Simmons has been linked to the New York Knicks this offseason, but hasn’t yet found a new home as the offseason winds down.More news: Ben Simmons Receives Unfortunate Update on Free AgencyMany have speculated Simmons could retire as he remains a free agent. On Monday, one fan on social media decided to just ask for himself.On an Instagram post by Simmons, one fan simply asked him in the comments: “Is bro retired?”Simmons’ responded: “no.”Simmons, 29, is a former three-time NBA All-Star, two-time All-Defensive First Teamer and was the 2017-18 Rookie of the Year award winner. However, he held out during the entire 2021-22 season, and suffered a back injury that has completely derailed his career.More news: Suns Made Trade Offer to Warriors for Jonathan KumingaSince the 2022-23 season, when he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, Simmons has appeared in a total of just 108 games after appearing in 275 games in his first four years with the 76ers.He averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game as a member of the 76ers. Over the last three years, he’s averaging just 5.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game.Simmons is a shell of his former self as a playmaker and was never able to develop a jump shot to at least keep defenses honest. He was then bought out by Brooklyn and joined the Los Angeles Clippers, where he appeared in 18 games, averaging 2.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists on 16.4 minutes per game.Where Could Ben Simmons Sign?While Simmons had been heavily linked to the Knicks, they went in a different direction, signing Landry Shamet, Malcolm Brogdon and Garrison Mathews. They’re also working out big men as they continue to finalize their roster heading into the new season.No other team has emerged as an obvious landing spot for the former All-Star guard.
