The Green Bay Packers are 2-0, the lone undefeated team in the NFC North through the first two weeks of the 2025 NFL season. While the season is still young, it is hard for fans not to be excited with how well Green Bay is playing offensively and, especially, defensively (though special teams still leave a lot to be desired).
Unfortunately, the Packers have not gotten through the first two weeks of the season unscathed. Wide receiver Jayden Reed, who led the team in both receptions and receiving yards in each of the past two seasons, broke his collar bone on Thursday night and will miss the next 6-8 weeks. Right tackle Zach Tom is battling an oblique injury that forced him to miss Week Two, and he may be out even longer, though Green Bay has not placed him on injured reserve as of yet.
Starting left guard Aaron Banks, who was signed in free agency, also missed the game against the Washington Commanders with an injury.
Fortunately, though, Green Bay has been able to navigate these injuries and have won both of their games in convincing fashion. Other teams have not been as fortunate, and some are calling the Packers about some of the players on their roster.
The Green Bay Packers have turned down 2 trade offers for linebacker Quay Walker
According to Easton Butler of Packer Report, one of the players that has generated interest around the NFL is fourth-year linebacker Quay Walker. In fact, two different teams have already called Green Bay with trade offers for Walker, but the Packers have turned them both down:
The Packers are currently working on a Long Term extension for LB Quay Walker, despite the Packers receiving 2 trade offers for the former Georgia product. Green Bay has told teams they plan to extend Quay. The two teams are the Chargers, who offered a 4th, and the Saints, who… pic.twitter.com/3MBjLg688i

As one can see from Butler’s post, the Los Angeles Chargers offered a fourth round pick for the Packers starting linebacker, and the New Orleans Saints called and offered a fifth.
Instead of trading him, though, Green Bay is trying to work out a contract extension with Walker. The previously declined his fifth-year option, hoping that they would be able to sign him long-term.
But even if they cannot, they will end up with a fourth of fifth comp pick (or better) should he leave in free agency.
Through two games this season, Walker has accumulated 17 tackles, two of which have been for a loss. He has surpassed 100 tackles in each of his first three NFL seasons as well, and is on pace to do so again if he stays healthy.
