Keith Carradine is set to guest star in an episode of “High Potential” Season 2, Variety has learned exclusively.
The second season of the ABC drama series launches tonight, Sept. 16. Carradine will guest star in the series as Newmeyer, whose official character description states, “This haughty business mogul has made a fortune in manufacturing… but may have crossed a line putting profits over people’s lives.”
Carradine’s onscreen career goes back five decades. He is known for his roles in films like Robert Altman’s “McCabe and Mrs. Miller,” “Thieves Like Us,” and “Nashville,” as well as Louis Malle’s “Pretty Baby” and Alan Rudolph’s “Welcome To L.A.” among many, many others. His song “I’m Easy” from “Nashville” won the Academy Aawrd and Golden Globe Award for best song and was a Billboard Top Ten single. His recent credits include the Blumhouse thriller “Afraid,” the first season of FX’s “Fargo,” and “Fear The Walking Dead.”

Kaitlin Olson leads the cast of “High Potential” as a single mom with an incredibly high IQ who lands a job as a consultant for the LAPD solving crimes. The cast also includes Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, Matthew Lamb, Steve Howey, and Judy Reyes.
“High Potential” is based on the French series “Haut Potentiel Intellectuel” or “HPI.” Drew Goddard created the series and executive produces along with Sarah Esberg via Goddard Textiles. Todd Harthan serves as executive producer and showrunner, with Marc Halsey and Olson also executive producing. 20th Television is the studio.
