Shreeji Shipping Global Q1 net up 52%

Shreeji Shipping Global, a shipping logistics company focusing on dry-bulk cargo, has reported 52 per cent increase in June quarter net profit at ₹38 crore against ₹25 crore logged in the same period last year, largely due to service diversification.

Revenue was up 24 per cent at ₹161 crore (₹130 crore). EBITDA of the company jumped 58 per cent to ₹60 crore (₹38 crore).

Ashokkumar Haridas Lal, Chairman and Managing Director said the diverse service offerings, long-term contracts and wide geographic presence helped the company manage seasonal fluctuations due to shut down of major ports due to monsoon.

The company will be able to expand its expertise across Oil & Gas, Energy, FMCG, Coal and Metals, while also broadening into adjacent sectors, he said.

Recently the company has received a Letter of Intent to establish Floating Crane Facilities at Diamond Harbour under the Syama Prasad Mukharjee Port Trust Kolkata. The strategic addition will enhance port-led services and this is expected to contribute to revenue starting this financial year, said the company.

The fresh capital raised from IPO will support the expansion of service portfolio. With a well-diversified fleet, strong customer relationships and a robust pipeline of projects, the company remains confident in sustaining growth, enhancing profitability and delivering long-term value to stakeholders, it added.

As of March-end, company provides fleet of over 80 vessels (consisting of barges, mini bulk carriers, tug boats and floating cranes) and over 370 earthmoving equipment to customers engaged in various industries.

The company is primarily focused on non-major ports and jetties, particularly along the West Coast of India such as Navlakhi, Bedi, Magdalla, Bhavnagar and Dharamtar and overseas port at Puttalam Port (Sri Lanka). Under cargo handling segment, the company provide STS (ship-to-ship) Lighterage, Stevedoring and other port services, including cargo management services.
