HASTINGS, Neb. — Lightning and thunder in the vicinity of the Smith Softball Complex has forced a delay in the first round games at the 2025 Class A state softball tournament.
Rain also has been falling for at least 20 minutes, but it was the lightning and thunder paused the action.
No. 1 Millard North leads No. 8 Elkhorn South 10-0 in the bottom of the second inning. Also in the bottom of the second, No. 6 Papillion-La Vista leads No. 5 Gretna 2-0.
In the top of the third inning, No. 8 Omaha Westside leads No. 3 Millard West 3-0. There is no score yet in the bottom of the third between No. 2 Lincoln Southwest and No. 4 Bellevue East.
