Gen V’s second series boasts a star-studded cast, featuring breakout stars from the first series and a host of exciting guest appearances. The popular spin-off from The Boys on Prime Video follows the students at Godolkin University, an institution specialising in superhero training. The inaugural series saw a band of troubled heroes uncover the school’s sinister secrets while a conflict between superheroes and humans started to simmer around them. Series two will resume after the main villain of the original series, Homelander (portrayed by Antony Starr), has essentially seized control of the United States, with tensions between the two groups reaching a peak. With Gen V’s return set to be another massive success for the streaming service in their popular dark comic book universe, let’s delve into the full cast of the second series, reports the Mirror . Most of the main cast introduced in the first series of Gen V are confirmed to be returning. They include: Sadly, one cast member who won’t be making a comeback is Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson. Perdomo tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in late March 2024, and his role will not be recast. The recurring cast who might also return for the second series includes: The second series of Gen V introduces two very familiar names as key characters. First up is Hamish Linklater, who will play Dean Cipher, the new dean of Godolkin with mysterious powers and a plan for superhero dominance. Linklater, best recognised from Netflix’s popular horror series Midnight Mass and appearances in Legion, Angelyne, Manhunt and the highly praised drama film Nickel Boys, is a familiar face to fans. Musical star Ethan Slater also joins the Gen V season 2 cast in a recurring role. He will be stepping into the shoes of Thomas Godolkin, a behavioural scientist and the founder of the college. Slater is most renowned for his portrayal of Boq Woodsman in the Wicked film and his leading role in the Spongebob Squarepants musical on Broadway. The new additions to the cast also include Zach McGowan as Dogknott, along with others in undisclosed roles: Just like in the first season of Gen V, several beloved characters from The Boys are anticipated to make guest appearances in the second season. This includes Erin Moriarty reprising her role as Annie January/Starlight, a supe who’s covertly collaborating with Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) to bring down the Seven.
