Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner clearly have become the most dominating players on the men’s tour as they have split the last eight Grand Slam titles between them. Sinner, in fact, has played all Grand Slam finals this season.

When players such as Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas thought winning Majors would become easier after the retirements of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic reaching the twilight of their careers, Alcaraz and Sinner emerged on the scene and started to take home Majors one after the other.

Yannick Noah, a former ATP player and the winner of the 1983 French Open, at present can’t see any player challenging the dominance of the World No.1 and World No.2. He said on Super Moscato Show on RMC:

A year and a half ago, we were saying to ourselves: ‘After them, there will be nothing for ten years.’ Three days later, you have Sinner and Alcaraz arriving and playing at a level… I’m amazed by the level. It’s at least equal, if not higher, and the guys are 22 years old. When you know that Nadal reached his best level at 28-29, you say to yourself that these guys have great days ahead of them. It’s promising. I don’t see who can bother them.

This season, Sinner defended the Australian Open and won Wimbledon for the first time, while Alcaraz defended the French Open and clinched his second US Open title. Except for Zverev at the Australian Open, no player other than Alcaraz and Sinner has reached the Grand Slam finals this season. Last year, Sinner lifted eight official titles, while Alcaraz has won the most this season (seven).

Next is the Asian swing. Alcaraz last year clinched the China Open by beating the World No.2, but he will not be playing the ATP 500 event in Beijing. Instead, Alcaraz will be heading toward Tokyo for the Japan Open, while Sinner will be going to Beijing. But before Tokyo, Alcaraz will be playing the Laver Cup under Noah, the new captain of Team Europe.
