To ease passenger movement during the upcoming Dasara and Deepavali festivals, Central Railway will operate 116 special train services between Kolhapur and Kalaburagi via Solapur Division from September 24 to November 30.
According to details released by the Solapur Division, Train No 01451 Kolhapur-Kalaburagi Special will leave Kolhapur at 6.10 a.m. daily (58 trips), except on Fridays, and reach Kalaburagi at 4.10 p.m. the same day.
In the return direction, Train No 01452 Kalaburagi-Kolhapur Special will leave Kalaburagi at 6.10 p.m. daily (58 trips), except on Fridays, and arrive at Kolhapur at 5.40 a.m. the following day. Both services will together make 116 trips.
The trains will halt at Hatkanangle, Jaysingpur, Miraj, Arag, Belanki, Salagre, Kavathemahankal, Langarpeth, Dhalgaon, Jath Road, Mhasoba Dongargaon, Javale, Wasud, Sangola, Pandharpur, Modnimb, Kurduwadi and Solapur.
The train composition includes four AC-III Tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two General Second Class-cum-Guard’s Brake Vans, making a total of 18 coaches.
Reservation for the special trains will open on September 16 at all computerised reservation centres and on the IRCTC website. Unreserved tickets can be purchased at booking counters or through the UTS app.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Solapur Division Yogesh Patil has appealed to passengers to make use of the facility during the festive season. “The additional services have been planned to meet the holiday rush and ensure a comfortable journey for passengers. I urge the travelling public to avail themselves of these special trains and travel with valid tickets to avoid inconvenience,” he said and added that for detailed timings at stoppages, passengers can visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in or use the NTES app.
