Cayuga County releases second strategic plan survey

As Cayuga County develops its first strategic plan in nearly six decades, it is seeking more feedback from residents.
The Cayuga County Department of Planning and Economic Development has released its second community assessment survey. According to a news release, this survey focuses on quality of life issues and asks business owners, residents and visitors to “evaluate conditions related to housing, employment, education, public health and other quality of life indicators.”
The survey, which the department says takes a few minutes to complete, should be submitted by Monday, Nov. 10.
To complete the survey, go to forms.cloud.microsoft/g/fUK7trF72A.
“The second survey provides a crucial opportunity for the public to help shape the future of Cayuga County by sharing their perspectives on quality of life in our communities,” said Evan Tuthill, senior planner with the Cayuga County Department of Planning and Economic Development.
Cayuga County received a $103,500 grant through the New York Department of State’s Smart Growth Community Planning and Zoning program to fund the development of a new strategic plan.
When it is finalized, it will be the first countywide strategic plan since 1969.
The Cayuga County Department of Planning and Economic Development is leading the project.
