Rumble stocks gained 5% on Monday after Vice President JD Vance announced he would host Charlie Kirk’s show on the video platform. Rumble stocks gained attention as Vice President JD Vance announced he would be hosting “The Charlie Kirk Show” live on the video platform. The news comes as the broader social media landscape experiences shifts, highlighted by a separate announcement from President Donald Trump about reaching a deal concerning TikTok.The announcement seems to have strengthened investor confidence in Rumble, which presents itself as an alternative video platform to YouTube. Kirk, a well-known conservative political activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, commands a substantial following within conservative circles. In recent years, Rumble has attracted a growing number of conservative content creators and audiences. The platform has positioned itself as a champion of free speech, offering a space for creators who feel constrained by the policies of mainstream platforms. Vance hailed Charlie Kirk as “the smartest political operative I ever met,” as he hosted his podcast, “The Charlie Kirk Show”, from the White House in honor of the conservative commentator who was shot dead last week. The vice president called Kirk a “joyful warrior for our country,” and partly blamed his assassination on an “incredibly destructive movement of left wing extremism” that he said had grown within the US over the past few years.Vance hosted the show at noon Monday on X and Rumble, less than one week after Kirk, 31, was shot dead during a college campus visit in Utah.
