Mike Wolfe, the longtime star of reality antiques show “American Pickers,” and his girlfriend, model Leticia Cline, were hospitalized following a car crash last week. According to social media posts from Wolfe and Cline, the two are on the road to recovery, however.
Wolfe shared the news in a now-expired Instagram story Saturday, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“By the grace of God, we’re both safe and okay. We are both receiving excellent care, and while Leticia is still in the hospital, she is expected to make a full recovery,” he wrote. “Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time, and we appreciate all of your love (and) prayers. God bless.”
Wolfe then posted a picture of the heavily damaged car the two were driving in, along with some text.
“It’s been a rough nite, but now there’s light at the end of the tunnel,” Wolfe wrote. “I truly believe in the power of group prayers. Thank you to all of you that have sent them to us.”
Cline shared updates as well, posting an image of the two sitting next to one another in hospital beds.
“Hopefully I get surgery tomorrow. Broken jaw (in a few places), broken ribs, sternum, collapsed lung, and a lot of swelling on my spine. My mouth will be wired shut, but I still got my brain, and that’s all that matters,” Cline wrote.
TMZ reports that Cline is set to have multiple surgeries as a result of the crash, but she is expected to make a full recovery. The crash took place in Columbia, Tennessee, but details on what caused the crash were not provided by the couple.
Wolfe has starred on “American Pickers” since its inception in 2010. In the show, Wolfe travels the country in search of antiques and collectibles. Cline, a former Playboy model, has also appeared on the reality TV show ‘Beauty and the Geek’ and worked as an interviewer for TNA Wrestling in the mid-2000s.
