If you’ve been waiting for the best time to buy the Saatva HD, the brand’s luxury hybrid mattress designed to support heavier bodies, this is it. There’s currently 15% off all mattresses over $1,000 at Saatva, bringing the prices of the most expensive Saatva mattresses back down to their lowest price of the year.

After rigorous testing, we rate the Saatva Classic as the best mattress of the year for most sleepers. However, if you’re of more generous proportions, the Saatva HD is a better fit. It shares many design similarities to the Classic, but is designed to be supportive for a maximum combined weight of 1,000 lbs.

The HD is more expensive than the Classic, but the current Saatva mattress sale takes 15% off orders over $1,000. I ran the numbers a while back and worked out that this deal gets you the the very lowest price on a queen size Saatva HD. Here’s what you need to know…

Saatva HD mattress: twin was $1,999 now $1,700 at Saatva
The Saatva HD is the sleep brand’s go-to option for heavier sleepers. While we love the Saatva Classic, one of its few shortcomings is that it can it can ‘only’ support a combined weight of up to 600lbs. The Saatva HD, however, is designed for people weighing up to 500lbs: it’s an innerspring hybrid made with natural latex, premium 5lb memory foam and 14-gauge tempered steel coils that are 25% stronger than the industry standard. We rate it as one of the best mattresses for heavy people. It’s luxurious, breathable, supportive and durable, and with Saatva’s rare 15% off deal a queen size is as affordable as it gets. Right now it’ll cost you $2,890, reduced from $3,399 and saving you $509 (and if you want a split king size you’ll save a massive $674). Here’s everything you need to know about the Saatva HD mattress, but don’t wait on this deal, because it’s scheduled to end on 11 September, and if mattress tariff price rises kick in soon, you may not see the price this low again.

Why now is a good time to buy one of Saatva’s more expensive mattresses…
The 15% off Saatva mattress sale isn’t just a great opportunity to get the lowest prices on the Saatva HD. If you’ve ever browsed through the more expensive options in the Saatva range and wished they were just a little bit cheaper, today could be your opportunity to snatch one of them up at a more agreeable price.
I’ve spent way too much time studying Saatva deals and I can tell you that it has three basic sale offerings: a flat cash discount ($300 and the $400 we saw over Labor Day), a set of tiered discounts depending on how much you spend, and a straight 15% off, which is what we’re seeing now.

While the 15% deal doesn’t translate to the lowest possible price if you’re shopping the Saatva Classic, it can net you the best prices on a few models when you buy a full size or larger. So if you’re troubled by back pain, right now you can get a queen size Saatva Rx for $2,890, saving $509. If you crave a premium memory foam bed, a queen Countour5 mattress has $449 off and will cost you $2,550. If latex is your thing, the dual-sided Zenhaven is $2,890 for a queen, saving you $509, while if you want adjustable firmness you can pick up a queen-sized Solaire for $3,910 with $689 off.

All of these luxurious beds come with free white glove delivery, a 365-night trial and lifetime warranty. But don’t take too long making your mind up; once this sale ends we’re unlikely to see it again for a while .
