Bhubaneswar to Host Second National Mediation Workshop on Sept 28, Law Minister Reviews Preparations

The meeting, held at the Minister’s office in Lok Seva Bhawan, focused on ensuring seamless arrangements for the arrival and accommodation of distinguished guests, including ministers, judges, law secretaries, advocates general, legal experts, and other dignitaries from various states. Discussions centred on providing a memorable experience for attendees while showcasing Odisha’s rich art, culture, and tourism potential.
Minister Harichandan emphasised the importance of cultural programs at the venue to highlight Odisha’s heritage. He also proposed organising a handloom exhibition to promote the state’s traditional textiles, handicrafts, and artwork, aiming to create a lasting impression on visitors.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Principal Secretary of the Law Department, Manas Ranjan Barik, Additional Police Commissioner Narsingh Bhol, Special Secretary of the Commerce and Transport Department, Suranjita Jena, Additional Secretary of the Law Department, Shivaprasad Mahapatra, and Director of Bhubaneswar Airport Authority, Prasanna Pradhan.
The workshop is expected to foster dialogue on mediation practices and strengthen Odisha’s position as a hub for legal and cultural exchange.
