This week’s edition features several Lincoln teams climbing up the top 10, including three in the top 10, as well as Waverly making a move to No. 1. Check out the full rankings.

Comments: Millard South surged in this week’s rankings after going a blistering 7-1. Lincoln Southwest defeated Omaha Westside on Sept. 11 as the Silver Hawks continued their climb. Meanwhile, Lincoln North Star dropped its first match of the season to Papillion-La Vista South.

Comments: Waverly continues to impress. After trailing No. 2 Elkhorn North, the Vikings battled back and overcame a level of adversity they hadn’t yet faced this season. Elkhorn North’s Reagan Wallraff remains one of the state’s standouts. Skutt handled Pius X last Tuesday, and Gretna has won eight straight matches since its Sept. 2 loss to Elkhorn North.

Comments: Lincoln Lutheran climbed to No. 1 for the first time this season. Since dropping its opener to Waverly, the Warriors have lost just four sets during their seven-match winning streak. Adams Central jumped into the rankings after sweeping Kearney Catholic on the road Sept. 11.

Comments: Norfolk Catholic remains unbeaten against ranked opponents, defeating Columbus Lakeview, David City, Platteview and Battle Creek. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and Centura cracked the rankings for the first time this season with strong starts. The Bears have dropped just two sets, while the Centurions’ only loss came Sept. 13 against Ogallala.

Comments: The top four teams held their ground with convincing weeks. Wynot went 4-1, Cambridge went 2-1, S-E-M finished 4-1, and Diller-Odell went 2-0. Garden County broke into the rankings after a 6-1 week.
